We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our Technology team at the Store Support Centre. This is a deeply hands‑on role owning the performance of our store firewalls, driving the buildout of our Fortinet environment, and contributing to the direction of our global network strategy.

What you’ll be doing

• Taking day‑to‑day ownership of the store firewall environment - with a primary focus on Fortinet.
• Helping to build, refine, and uplift TRS’s Fortinet estate across a large, distributed retail footprint.
• Working closely with our Canadian network team to understand strategic direction and contribute to decision‑making.
• Ensuring the network is operating at the performance, stability, and security levels required to support a national retail group.
• Remaining hands‑on across design, implementation, optimisation, and troubleshooting.
• Providing technical coaching and support to more junior network engineers, contributing to capability growth across the team.
• Playing a key role in network performance uplift projects, site implementations, upgrades, and environment maintenance.

What you’ll bring

• Fortinet expertise - This role requires strong, practical experience with Fortinet to meet the technical needs of our environment
• Strong capability with Cisco technologies.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining network solutions in a multi‑site or highly distributed environment.
• Deep hands‑on experience with firewalls, security policies, network performance optimisation, and environment uplift.
• The ability to take ownership, run with problems, and proactively navigate ambiguity.
• A working style suited to fast‑moving environments where direction is clear, but the path requires initiative.
• A preference for organisations where you’re empowered to solve, rather than waiting to be handed the next task.
