What your day-today looks like:

As the Head of Planning, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future success of our business through:

Developing specific objectives and performance standards with each team member that ensure they clearly understand performance expectations and their contribution to the strategy

Develop and implement a comprehensive retail planning strategy aligned with the company's overall goals.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of planning initiatives.

Lead the merchandise planning process to optimise inventory levels and maximize sales.

Analyse sales trends, historical data, and market insights to make informed recommendations.

Oversee the development of assortment plans that align with customer preferences and market demands.

Work closely with the buying team to ensure a balanced and profitable product mix.

Monitor and adjust forecasts based on market dynamics and internal factors.

Manage the annual budgeting process

Monitor key performance indicators and financial metrics to drive profitability.

Develop, seek approval and manage expense budgets and capital expenditure requirements to deliver department’s objectives whilst supporting company’s profitability target.

 

About your experience:

Proven experience in retail planning (preferable FMCG and General Merchandise experience) with a minimum of 10 years in a leadership role.

Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.

In-depth knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, and inventory management.

Proficiency in relevant planning and forecasting tools.
