The Workforce Planning Analyst is a pivotal role within our organisation, aimed at optimising our workforce to meet strategic goals and operational demands. This role directly supports the Workforce Planning Manager and involves daily reporting, analytics, and forecasting duties.

 

The successful candidate will be instrumental in helping our stores achieve their weekly budgeted labour targets, identifying opportunities for improvement, and innovating processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Day to Day:

Forecasting and Workforce Planning: Utilise forecasting models to anticipate staffing needs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational demands.

Daily Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyse daily reports to monitor performance against labour budgets, identifying variances and trends that require attention.

Problem Solving: Address and resolve workforce planning challenges, applying analytical skills to devise effective solutions.

Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve existing workforce planning processes, developing and implementing innovative ideas to enhance operational efficiency.

Training and Support: Maintain, update, and educate store managers, regional managers, and state managers on the utilization of the UKG PRO WFM tool, ensuring its effective use across all levels.

Project Management: Lead and contribute to projects aimed at advancing our workforce planning capabilities, coordinating with various stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

Communication and Presentation: Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels, utilizing strong presentation skills to influence decision-making and drive action.

 

What you can bring to the role:

 

  • Proficiency in forecasting and workforce planning methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
  • Experience in reporting and analysis, with the ability to derive meaningful insights from complex data sets.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, comfortable with using formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively.
  • Proven project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading initiatives from concept to completion.
  • Adept at presenting information to diverse audiences, from technical teams to executive leadership.
  • Experience in educating and training individuals on new tools or processes, particularly related to workforce management systems like UKG PRO WFM.
