We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Payroll Officer to join our friendly and hardworking Payroll team based at our Store Support Centre in Kensington, Melbourne. You'll learn so much in this business - it'll be a great opportunity to really develop your payroll skills, but also to have some fun and a laugh with a great group of colleagues!

 

You will provide The Reject Shop team members a timely, efficient and accurate processing of payroll and a responsive service.

 

 

What you will deliver in this role at The Reject Shop:

  • Ensure accurate, efficient and timely processing of the pay run (HR3) and the time keeping system (Kronos) for all team members weekly and monthly
  • Liaise with Payroll Manager and HR in regards to Award Interpretation
  • Investigate and respond promptly to employee queries
  • Produce ad hoc reports in an accurate and timely manner
  • Assist with providing end of month processing of reports and distribution as required
  • Establish and maintain employees master file data in the payroll system
  • Respond to external enquiries (for example from Centrelink)
  • Maintain employee records/personnel files and establishing new files
  • Understanding of parental leave and long service leave calculations
  • Internal and external stakeholder management

 

 

What you will bring to The Reject Shop:

  • Demonstrated Kronos experience
  • HR3 experience desirable
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, in particular Excel
  • Strong administration skills
  • High degree of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Flexibility and resilience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
