In this role you participate in and ensure the completion and delivery of accurate accounting and financial information to support effective decision making by the business.

Reporting to the Financial Manager, you will get to build key relationships with the CFO, General Managers and Operations teams.

• This role is a 12 month fixed term contract covering a parental leave position.

This exciting opportunity will see you:

• Hold accountability for key areas of the P&L and Balance Sheet including the preparation of month ending journals and accruals to ensure all costs are accurately captured
• Prepare management analysis of performance against budget
• Assist in the preparation of the head office expenditure budget
• Identify inconsistencies in numbers between reports and the General Ledger
• Participate in the preparation of reports including, P&L balance sheets and variance analysis
• Collate all required Board reports for inclusion in monthly Board pack
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with accounting standards
• Liaise with external auditors in completion of financial statements
• Perform ad hoc reporting and commercial analysis.

What you will bring to the role:

• Degree in Accounting
• Completed CPA/CA Qualification or nearing completion
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Corporate retail experience is advantageous and preferable
• Familiarity with SAP is a plus
• Highly detailed-oriented with strong analytical skills
• Excellent time management abilities
• Capable of thriving under pressure
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
