We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Payroll Officer to join our dedicated Payroll team at our Store Support Centre in Kensington, Melbourne, on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role is perfect for an experienced payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering accurate and efficient payroll services.

 

What You'll Be Responsible For:

  • End-to-end payroll processing (weekly and monthly) for all team members using HR3 and Kronos
  • Ensuring accurate Award and Enterprise Agreement interpretation, liaising with Payroll Manager and HR
  • Investigating and resolving payroll-related employee queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Preparing and delivering ad hoc reports with accuracy and efficiency
  • Assisting with end-of-month processing, including reports and distribution
  • Maintaining and updating employee master file data in the payroll system
  • Handling external inquiries (e.g., Centrelink, auditors)
  • Managing leave calculations (parental leave, long service leave, etc.)
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

 

What You Bring:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Payroll Officer or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Kronos (HR3 experience is desirable)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and resilience in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the team
