We are looking for a strategic and forward-thinking Talent Strategy Manager to lead our national talent acquisition function and power the next phase of growth at The Reject Shop.
Reporting directly to the General Manager – People & Culture, you will shape and drive our end-to-end recruitment strategy across both business-as-usual hiring and new store development. From leading national sourcing campaigns to building internal mobility frameworks and strengthening our employer brand, this is a key leadership role with impact at every level of the business.
You will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, People & Culture Business Partners, Store Operations and Store Development teams to ensure we have the right people, in the right roles, at the right time — every time.
This is a full-time role based at our Kensington office, with hybrid flexibility (3 days in office / 2 days WFH).
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Strategically leading the recruitment function across both new store development and business-as-usual hiring
- Designing and delivering multi-year talent acquisition strategies aligned to business growth and overall strategy
- Coaching and developing a high-performing Talent team to deliver consistent results
- Building strategic workforce plans with key internal partners to anticipate talent needs
- Driving external sourcing, proactive talent pipelining and campaigns for volume and hard-to-fill roles
- Shaping and activating our employer brand
- Overseeing recruitment for new store openings, ensuring proactive planning and partnering with internal teams
- Leveraging data and insights to optimise recruitment processes and improve time-to-fill, cost-per-hire and quality-of-hire metrics with clear SLA’s
- Ensuring a high-quality, inclusive and consistent candidate experience across all touchpoints
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience in Strategic Partnering with stakeholders and Leadership
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on, delivery-focused approach
- End to end project management and deliverables
- Experience in internal talent mapping and workforce planning
- Experience in employer branding, sourcing and internal mobility
- Confident using data to drive decisions and optimise performance
- Knowledge of recruitment systems/HRIS/Systems and process design
- Passion for developing talent and building high-performing teams
