At The Reject Shop, we’re proudly focused on delivering value to our customers and creating a supportive, high-performing culture for our team. As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for an experienced and people-focused People & Culture Business Partner to join our national P&C team.

In this critical role, you’ll partner closely with operational leaders across our store and distribution centre network in Queensland to deliver the national People & Culture strategy, drive engagement, support leaders through workforce challenges, and build capability across your division.

As a P&C Business Partner, you will:

  • Partner with DC Manager, State and Regional Managers as a trusted advisor, sounding board, and coach
  • Drive a people plan for your division aligned to the national P&C strategy
  • Proactively analyse people metrics, provide insights to leaders, and develop actions to support continuous improvement
  • Lead talent development and succession planning activities to grow our future leaders
  • Partner on ER matters supporting leaders through performance issues, investigations, grievances, and long-term injury cases.
  • Utilise insights from engagement surveys to continuously make The Reject Shop a great place to work
  • Support cyclical P&C activity including annual performance and remuneration reviews
  • Lead or support national projects, and contribute to a positive, consistent P&C experience across divisions

 

This role supports our Ipswich Distribution Centre and stores across QLD. This is a hybrid role with a mix of time spent at the Distribution Centre, working remotely, and occasional travel to stores.

 

What you can bring to the role:

You’re a natural people partner with a passion for employee experience. You’ll bring:

  • Experience in a similar role as P&C Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor
  • A comprehensive understanding of the National Employment Standards, ability to interpret modern awards and enterprise agreements
  • Experience coaching leaders and driving outcomes across talent, engagement, and ER
  • Confidence managing complex people challenges with empathy and fairness
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a fast-paced environment
