You’ve seen the headlines. You’ve heard the hype.

The Reject Shop is now part of global retail giant Dollarama, and we’re building something big.

2026 is set to be a huge year. Our store network is expanding, our customer experience is evolving, and we’re growing towards 700 stores. Behind the scenes, our Merchandise team is making it happen—and this is your chance to be part of it.

We’re looking for a Junior Buyer to join our Store Support Centre team and help deliver the products our customers love at the prices they expect. This role is all about supporting the Buyer to manage a category, build strong supplier relationships, and execute a customer-centric strategy that drives profitable sales.

You’ll be hands-on with everything from sourcing and sample management to promotional planning and supplier negotiations. If you’re ready to learn, grow, and make an impact in a fast-paced retail environment, this is the role for you.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the Buyer in managing a category and delivering on the critical path.
  • Coordinating samples, purchase orders, and promotional activity to meet timelines.
  • Communicating with local and overseas suppliers to secure quotes, samples, and product information.
  • Assisting with catalogue planning, marketing submissions, and artwork programs.
  • Running merchandise reports and checking competitor pricing.
  • Building strong internal relationships with Planning, Marketing, and Store Operations teams.
  • Helping shape a category strategy that keeps our customers coming back for quality, value, and experience.

What you’ll bring

  • 1–2 years’ experience in buying, merchandising, or procurement—retail or FMCG preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confidence in supplier negotiations and purchase order management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis for informed decision-making.
  • A commercial mindset with knowledge of pricing strategies and margin calculations.
  • A proactive, adaptable approach—you thrive under pressure and keep things moving.

What we can offer you

  • A fast-paced, purpose-led team driving retail transformation.
  • Opportunities to learn, grow, and progress in a national retailer.
  • Exposure to supplier negotiations and category strategy development.
  • Employee benefits including paid parental leave and EAP support.
  • A role where you can own it, do it, and see your impact across the business.

This is more than an entry-level buying role. It’s a chance to learn from the best, build your career, and help shape the future of value retail in Australia.

Ready to own it and do it? Apply now and be part of something big.
