You’ve seen the headlines. You’ve heard the hype.

The Reject Shop is now part of global retail giant Dollarama, and we’re building something big.

2026 is shaping up to be a game-changer. With our store network expanding, our customer experience evolving, and our footprint growing towards 700 stores, there’s a lot happening behind the scenes. At the center of it all is our Store Development team - and we’re looking for a Store Design Planner to help bring our stores to life on the page.

This role is ideal for someone early in their career who’s hungry, motivated, and ready to produce a high volume of accurate, build-ready drawings. You’ll work autonomously, manage a portfolio of stores, and play a critical role in translating design intent into clear, practical layouts. If you’re confident in AutoCAD, enjoy working at pace, and take pride in precision, this could be your next move.

This role is based in our Kensington Store Support Centre.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing an allocated portfolio of stores and producing detailed fixture layouts and floor plans.

  • Creating and updating store floor plans using AutoCAD (with Revit exposure highly regarded).

  • Preparing signage packs for new store openings.

  • Producing evacuation plans in line with regulatory requirements.

  • Responding to RFIs (Requests for Information) from fit-out teams and architects.

  • Managing day-to-day communication between Store Development and internal and external stakeholders.

  • Supporting new store openings, refurbishments, and conversions by ensuring drawings are accurate, compliant, and up to date.

  • Working independently to deliver a high volume of drawings to deadline.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in retail store planning, drafting, or a related design discipline.

  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD; Revit experience is advantageous.

  • Exposure to retail environments, space planning, or fixture layouts.

  • High attention to detail and a methodical, organised approach to work.

  • The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.

  • A proactive, can-do attitude — years of experience are less important than capability, accuracy, and drive.

What we can offer you

  • An inclusive and collaborative team culture.

  • A flat, fast-paced business where your work has real visibility and impact.

  • Hybrid work model.

  • Team Member discount of 15% for you and an immediate family member.

  • Paid parental leave for primary and secondary caregivers.

  • Employee Assistance Program – free and confidential support for you and your family.

This is a hands-on technical design role where you’ll build strong foundations in retail store planning while contributing to a growing national store network. You’ll be trusted to own your output, supported by experienced teammates, and part of a business that’s moving fast.

Ready to own it and do it? Apply now and be part of something big.
