You’ve seen the headlines. You’ve heard the hype.
The Reject Shop is now part of global retail giant Dollarama, and we’re building something big.

2026 is set to be a huge year. Our store network is expanding, our customer experience is evolving, and we’re growing towards 700 stores. Behind the scenes, our Merchandise team is making it happen, and this is your chance to be part of it.

We’re looking for a Buyer to join our growing Merchandising team, working across one of our most exciting and fast-evolving product areas. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll partner with a major supplier, manage global sourcing, and help integrate new product streams from both existing partners and Dollarama.

If you love retail, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to play a pivotal role in shaping a category customers love, this is the opportunity for you.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing your category end‑to‑end, owning the critical path and delivering commercially strong ranges.
  • Working closely with a major supplier to build compelling and competitive assortments.
  • Integrating new Dollarama products into the local range to maximise opportunity and value.
  • Sourcing exclusive products tailored to The Reject Shop customer and value proposition.
  • Managing relationships with overseas vendors, ensuring quality, cost, and timelines are met.
  • Leading range reviews, building assortments, and optimising product mix to drive sales and profit.
  • Coordinating samples, purchase orders, artwork, catalogues, and promotions to meet key milestones.
  • Monitoring sales, profit, and stock performance, identifying risks and opportunities to deliver against budget.
  • Analysing competitor activity and market trends to inform pricing and product decisions.
  • Partnering with Planning, Marketing, and Store Operations to deliver a customer‑focused, profitable strategy.
  • Visiting stores to assess merchandising, gather insights, and drive continuous improvement in execution.

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years’ experience in a buying or merchandising role within a national retail environment.
  • Proven experience working with large-scale suppliers and building strong commercial partnerships.
  • Strong background in sourcing, range building, and product development.
  • Experience managing overseas suppliers and navigating global supply chains.
  • Solid commercial acumen, with the ability to balance pricing, margin, and customer value.
  • Advanced organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple moving parts and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical capability, including Excel and interpreting sales and performance data.
  • Confidence in negotiation, supplier management, and driving mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • A proactive, adaptable mindset - you thrive on pace, change, and getting things done.

What we can offer you

  • A fast‑paced, purpose‑driven team shaping the future of value retail.
  • Opportunities to grow your career across a national and expanding retailer.
  • Exposure to international sourcing, vendor negotiations, and global product integration.
  • Employee benefits including paid parental leave and EAP support.
  • The opportunity to own your space, influence strategy, and see your impact in stores across Australia.

This is more than a Buyer role.
It’s your chance to learn, lead, and help shape the future of value retail in Australia.

Ready to own it and do it? Apply now and be part of something big.
