If you’ve led a team or run a shift before, in retail, fast food, a supermarket, bottle shop, chemist or similar, and you’re working out your next move, this is a good place to grow. The Role

You’ll work alongside the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager to lead the team and keep the store running, and you’ll take charge when the manager isn’t in.

You’ll:

• Lead the team on shift and keep things moving during busy trade
• Open and close the store as a keyholder
• Look after customer service and sort out the day-to-day issues
• Stay on top of merchandising, restocking and stock flow
• Coach and back up the Team Members around you
• Hand out tasks and manage what needs doing first
• Handle cash, end-of-day reconciliation and banking
• Keep the store clean, tidy, safe and up to standard
• It’s a hands-on, physical role. You’ll be on your feet and lifting up to 16kg as part of the normal day.

Please Note: Team Leaders are only paid a supervisor allowance for the hours a manager is not in store and not all hours of their shift.

Requirements of this Role:

This one’s a good fit if you:

• Have led a team or run a shift before, in retail, fast food, a supermarket, bottle shop, chemist or similar (think shift supervisor, 2IC or duty manager)
• Want to build a career in retail and work your way up to store management
• Like taking ownership and leading by example
• Are comfortable with cash, opening and closing, and keeping a shift on track
• Want flexible shifts that fit around study, sport or whatever else you’ve got on
• Are reliable and ready to take the next step

Our busiest trading times are usually:

• Weekday afternoons from 3:30pm
• Thursday or Friday nights, 3:30pm to 9:00pm
• Weekends – open to close
• School holidays and public holidays

Team Leaders must be available for these shifts.
