You’ve seen the headlines. You’ve heard the hype.
The Reject Shop is now part of global retail giant Dollarama, and we’re building something big.
2026 is set to be a huge year. Our store network is expanding, our customer experience is evolving, and we’re growing towards 700 stores. Behind the scenes, our People & Culture team is helping drive this transformation by building capability, strengthening engagement, and keeping our teams connected.
We’re looking for a Training & Engagement Specialist who’s passionate about creating meaningful employee experiences through learning, communication and engagement. If you thrive on turning complex information into simple messages, delivering impactful training programs, and helping teams stay informed and connected, this is your opportunity to make a real impact across our Stores, Distribution Centres and Store Support Centre.
What you'll be doing
- Coordinating and continuously improving national compliance training programs, from creation and deployment through to reporting and completion tracking
- Supporting employee engagement initiatives, including annual engagement surveys, pulse surveys and action planning with leaders
- Managing and enhancing store onboarding programs to create engaging and consistent new starter experiences
- Creating clear and engaging communications, learning content and resources for employees across the business
- Owning the day-to-day management of WorkJam and supporting participation across learning and engagement platforms
- Partnering with stakeholders across Operations, Supply Chain, Technology and People & Culture to support projects, change initiatives and capability development
- Using employee feedback, training data and engagement insights to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
What you'll bring
- Experience in training, learning & development, employee engagement, internal communications or a similar People & Culture role
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences
- Experience coordinating training programs, onboarding activities or compliance learning initiatives
- Confidence building relationships and collaborating with stakeholders across a large, multi-site organisation
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook
- Experience creating engaging digital content, learning materials, presentations or communications is highly regarded
- A proactive, organised approach with a passion for making things simple, engaging and effective
This is more than a training role. It’s an opportunity to help shape the way thousands of team members learn, connect and grow as we enter the next chapter of The Reject Shop’s journey. You'll join a collaborative People & Culture team where your ideas will be valued, your impact will be visible, and your work will help drive engagement and capability across one of Australia's most recognisable retailers.
